Religious Exploration for Children & Youth

All are welcome to join our fellowship this Sunday, October 5th, as we begin our new monthly theme of Cultivating Compassion. Meredyth will lead the service as we discover “Just Three Feet”. Rev. Pippin is on study leave and will return on October 14th.
This week in the Rainbow Room, we will read the book Faith by Maya Agmera, Magda Nakassis, and Cynthia Pon and explore the idea of Pluralism. Pluralism is one of our shared values (JETPIG!). Pluralism: We are all sacred beings, diverse in culture, experience, and theology.
In the Ocean Room, we will continue our exploration of Exploring Ourselves by discussing fear and look at the “The Scream” by Edvard Munch.

Taking it Home: This week we are looking at compassion through two different lenses – self compassion through our own emotions, and compassion for others through pluralism and respect for spiritual practices of various kinds.

Come gather together in creativity and community for a Community Craft Night on Thursday, October 2nd from 6-7 PM. Bring your own supplies or use the fellowship’s offerings. All are welcome!

Abundance Table:  An Opportunity to Rehome

blurb: All are invited to visit the Abundance Table on Sunday, October 5, in the Fellowship Hall before and after the worship service.  Bring items that are clean, functional, and in good condition that no longer serve you.  Take items from the table that you need and/or want.

Any items not claimed or reclaimed will be donated.

Simple Supper will be on Wednesday, October 8th at 5:45 PM. All are welcome! If you would like a meal provided potluck style, please let me know by Tuesday, October 7th. You are also welcome to bring a dish to share (fruit, desserts, and snacks are always welcome).

Fall Festival Volunteer opportunities!

You are welcome to sign up to host a Trunk as an individual or group, or sign up to lead a planned activity. Trunks are requested to bring an activity to play as well as candy, but if you need help planning a game or providing candy, the fellowship can help out.

There are three options for volunteering with Fall Festival

Trunk or Treat – Provide decorated trunk with candy and activity
Volunteer – Lead planned activity with materials provided at the fellowship
Chili – Provide chili in crockpot or toppings

If you or your team are interested, please fill out this form and we will contact you!
