All are welcome to join our fellowship this Sunday, October 5th, as we begin our new monthly theme of Cultivating Compassion. Meredyth will lead the service as we discover “Just Three Feet”. Rev. Pippin is on study leave and will return on October 14th.Â
This week in the Rainbow Room, we will read the book Faith by Maya Agmera, Magda Nakassis, and Cynthia Pon and explore the idea of Pluralism. Pluralism is one of our shared values (JETPIG!). Pluralism: We are all sacred beings, diverse in culture, experience, and theology.
In the Ocean Room, we will continue our exploration of Exploring Ourselves by discussing fear and look at the “The Scream” by Edvard Munch.Â
Â
Taking it Home: This week we are looking at compassion through two different lenses – self compassion through our own emotions, and compassion for others through pluralism and respect for spiritual practices of various kinds.Â
