Music brings us together and nourishes our bodies and spirits, which is an important part of worship at UUFA.

Each Sunday we choose selections from our Unitarian Universalist hymnals and a wider body of song. In addition to welcoming the congregation – now masked – to sing, we enjoy our excellent Chalice Choir, our Palms of Fire drum group, our house band, and occasional guest musicians.

Our music ministry includes the UUFA Comfort Choir, a group of singers who offer singing as a music ministry to support UUFA members or friends in need of comfort or healing. We sing for people in their homes, in rehab centers or long-term care, and for people in hospice. We visit in groups of four people or fewer and sing simple, soothing chants and favorite hymns. Would you or a loved one like a visit from the Comfort Choir? Contact Amber.

Music Director Amber Fetner holds a Master’s degree in ethnomusicology, and she thoughtfully and authentically brings a variety of music styles that help us make a joyful noise. Accompanist Neil Golden is a talented jazz and rock pianist, and he brings his artistry to the mix. We also enjoy Mike Merva on bass or guitar and Brent Litch on drums to round out the amazing music.
