During the Sept. 15 participatory event hosted by Steve Lize, attendees will learn about what policies are proposed and be asked to share thoughts on the potential impact on American democracy, representative government, and civil rights.Â
Celebrate the start of fall, the time of year when the sun crosses the celestial equator, heading southward, and the amount of day and night are equal.
This non-partisan event is proudly hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens in partnership with the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM), the Economic Justice Coalition (EJC), Indivisible Georgia District 10, the New Georgia Project, Aids Heathcare Foundation, The People’s Agenda, and UU the Vote.
This cultural festival celebrates Latinx heritage in the Athens community. Food, music, and dance, both traditional and modern, highlight the event. UUFA is a sponsor of this event.
Periodically, the Food Justice Team prepares a meal for and serves a meal at the Bigger Vision Community Shelter of Athens. You are invited to join in the meal prep, done at UUFA, or the meal serving.
For the next exhibit in our art gallery, you’ll find something different! “The Claire and Robert Clements Summer Invitational” will feature UUFA artists and artists who have shown or are scheduled to show in the gallery.  Come for the Opening Reception on June 28th, 4:00-6:00 pm. The show will run from Sunday, June 30th through Sunday, September 29th.Â
Each Sunday a fine spread is on display for all to enjoy thanks to the wonderful work of the Hospitality Team. Want to help? Click here to donate food and/or volunteer to set up or clean up.
