Religious Exploration for Children and Youth

Is it possible to love someone without being in some way, in awe of them?

This Sunday, December 4th, RE will be meeting in the Rainbow Room thanks to our volunteers, Anna Ray, Betsy Smith, and Barb Schell. Our Soul Matters theme for the month is Wonder. RE will be exploring the Noticing the Wonder around Us. We will read I Wonder by Annaka Harris and create Magic Wands of Notice.

Reverend Pippin Achieves Ministerial Milestone: Full Fellowship

The former Settled Minister Search committee was pleased to receive the following message from Rev. Pippin shortly before Thanksgiving:
“I just learned some happy news and wanted to share it with you. After many months of effort, you recommended that UUFA call a UU Minister in Preliminary Fellowship. And now, you have a UU Minister in Full Fellowship!”

When wondering if can feel like wandering off …

As I age and try to grow older, I ponder how I can preserve the essence of wondering. Aging often means looking for rational reasons for what we experience and dismissing the value of emotional experiences like “wondering” and wandering off beaten paths.

Board Reflection: Courage–Heart or Brain Matter? Or…?

“Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
