Youth Group Returns!

Join our Youth Group kick-off on Sunday, August 21st at 10:30 AM! Led by youth advisor, Meredyth Howard, and youth mentors, Dan Everett and Lisa Brown, youth group is an opportunity for middle and high school aged youth to come together during service to covenant together, nurture friendships, and hold space for big dreams.

Youth group at UUFA will meet every first and third Sunday of the month. Be on the look-out for dynamic programming, including lock-ins, intergenerational service projects, and other fun events.

Highlights of Upcoming Special Events

August

  • 19th – Athens Immigrant Rights Coalition (AIRC), 5:30 to 7 p.m., Oconee St. United Methodist Church (OSUMC)
  • 20th – Latinxfest, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
  • 21st – International Day of Peace – A March of Faith in Resistance to Mass Deportation (sponsored by the Interfaith Sanctuary Coalition) (Walk from Emmanuel Episcopal, have a ecumenical service at the federal courthouse, and then return.), 2 p.m.
  • 21st – Goddess Group Hosts a Fall Equinox Circle Dance, 2 p.m.
  • 23rd – UUA Welcoming Day of Observation (Celebrate Bisexuality Day)

October
