Annual Meeting Results of Voting

Business conducted during the Annual Meeting

The following business motions were made, discussed, and voted upon during the Congregational Annual Meeting on May 15, 2022:

1.  The motion to accept the slate of nominees proposed by the Nominating Committee passed. Those who will be serving for 2022-23 are:

2.  The motion to accept the 2022-23 budget passed.
3.  The original motion to accept the proposed bylaws changes did not pass. The motion made during the meeting to accept all the proposed changes except those that referred to the Committee on Shared Ministry did pass.
4.  The motion to approve the adoption of the 8th principle passed, with 88% voting “yes.”

  • 18th – Athens Immigrant Rights Coalition (AIRC) Meeting, 5:30 to 7 p.m., Oconee St. United Methodist Church
  • 19th – UUFA Hosts “Leading with Love: Leadership That Meets the Moment” Learn more and Register here. 
  • 20th – UUFA Forum: Welcoming the Economic Justice Coalition
  • 20th – New Member Recognition
  • 26th – Off-site Pool Party for All Religious Exploration and Youth Families 

August

  •  2nd – Worship Playground, 1-3 p.m.
  • 10th – Backpack Blessing service followed by ice cream social.
  • August 22:  AIRC Meeting, 5:30 to 7 p.m., OSUMC
  • 23rd – UUFA Leadership Summit (2025-2026)  (9 a.m.-noon) Register here. 
  • 24th – Start of Family Promise Week (partnering with Holy Cross Lutheran Church)

September
