6:30 p.m. Hot Corner Celebration Morton Theatre Worship Service, led by Rev. Pippin —

UUFA’s minister Rev. Dr. Pippin Whitaker has been asked to lead worship at the Morton at 6:30 p.m. on June 11 as part of a city-wide revival during the annual Hot Corner Celebration. Members of the UUFA choir will be participating. 

All UUFA members and friends are encouraged to attend!

For over 20 years, the Hot Corner Association has celebrated the African-American business community in Athens through its Hot Corner Festival. This block party style event, which is held the second weekend in June every year, brings together the best of Athens’ businesses, restaurants and entertainers for all Athenians to learn about and appreciate the diverse history of the Hot Corner.
