May 17:  Michael Thurmond Speaks at UUFA

The UUFA Racial Justice Team is honored to host esteemed author, historian, and public servant Michael Thurmond on Saturday, May 17, from 3 to 5 p.m. at UUFA. 

Michael Thurmond will address the question: “Why does an inclusive history matter?” Drawing from his wealth of research and public service experience, Thurmond will explore the power of truthful, inclusive history as a way to foster unity towards a more equitable path forward. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.  

The event will conclude with light refreshments and informal fellowship, is free, and open to the public.
