The theme of this year’s parade, set by the Athens-Clarke County government, was “Out of This World.” UUFA’s Star Trek themed float– Embracing Star Trek Values: Science, Logic, Dignity, Equality, and Equity was a huge hit winning the award for “best church use of the theme.” Thanks to Mark Williams for the donation of his truck as the Star Trek Enterprise, all who worked on the float, and all the UUFA Trekkies who came out to walk! And big thanks to Kate and Dan for organizing this effort!
This was UUFA’s very first attempt at a float in the annual parade.
