First Athens Pride Parade & BBQueer Festival

*UUFA will not have a table this year, but please put on your Stand With Love or UUFA shirt and REPRESENT with PRIDE!

From Athens Pride:

Athens Pride and Queer Collective is excited to announce the first-ever Athens Pride Parade, celebrating Pride Month on June 12th in Downtown Athens at 1:30PM! The parade route will begin near creature comforts on Hancock, make a right on Hull, a left on Clayton, a left on College Avenue, and will end at Thomas Lay Park. Lay park is where Pride was held years ago, prior to being downtown.

We can’t wait to have you join us as we celebrate this historic moment in our city’s history as we celebrate queer communities and our progress, while increasing visibility about the work we have left to do! We’re here, We’re Queer!

At the end of the parade, we’re having a big ol’ BBQueer at the Park, featuring bands, activities for all ages, BBQ (yes, we’ll have vegan options too! :-D)!
