Summer Family & Youth Events

June 12 Athens Pride Resource Festival in Lay Park for the first ever BBQueer. This event will follow the PRIDE parade and have BBQ (vegan options too!) as well as activities, community resources, and loads of support and love.

*UUFA will not have a table at the event, but everyone is encouraged to show up and show PRIDE at the parade and festival. Wear your Side With Love or UUFA t-shirt to represent!

June 16Family Dinner, Thursday at 6:30 PM on the UUFA patio – email me to RSVP with number of folx attending and any dietary restrictions (dinner will be provided)

UUFA will have two exciting multigenerational services in June:

June 19 – Special musical service with Friction Farm as our guest

June 26 – Playful Pathways, presented by Leigh Harvey and Heather Jensen

Family Friendly Service Opportunity:

June 27 – Monday at 6 PM, Concrete Jungle will be picking blueberries at the Hadden Estate in Watkinsville! This venue doubles as a blueberry farm and wedding venue; it’s beautiful, 10-15 min from downtown, and has nearly 3600 bushes for us to pick. This is a great intergenerational event with the Food Justice Team at UUFA. I won’t be able to be there for this event, but you can sign up here. There will be more opportunities in the future to partner with Concrete Jungle if you can’t make this one.

Come play with us in June at UUFA!
