Please Support the Fellowship!

It’s time to make your annual financial pledge of support to the UU Fellowship of Athens. Whether you are a member or friend of UUFA, we hope you’ll support our activities because they have a positive impact on people’s lives.

The goal of the 2019-20 Annual Budget is $385,000 in pledges. While we know many of you are still contributing to your Expanding Our Vision (EOV) capital campaign, we hope you will consider at least a 15% increase in your annual giving.

“Fulfilling the Promise”

The Board of Trustees & Ministry Council selected “Fulfilling the Promise” as the annual theme for the upcoming year. Below are details on how to make your pledge:

Because the Fellowship never spends money it does not have, at the annual meeting on May 19 we will present to you a balanced budget based on what you pledge to donate during the upcoming fiscal year (July – June). Please help us better fulfill the promise of this UU community by making a financial pledge.

  • If you are considering making a pledge for the first-time, thank you! Please review the Fair Share Contribution Guide to help guide your pledge decision. The UUA recommends 2-6% of your net income as a good starting point, understanding that individual circumstances may indicate more or less than that amount.
  • If you are currently pledging, please consider making at least a 15% increase to your current pledge if individual circumstances and means allow. We hope to increase the overall pledged amount by 15% to afford new programming and cover increases to standing costs.
  • On Sunday, March 3, please bring your pledge to UUFA. We’ll help you enter it into your ‘On Realm’ account (or set up a new account) on available computers. And, we’ll celebrate our collective commitment to UUFA after the service.
  • If you cannot attend on March 3, please go directly to your ‘On Realm’ account to enter your pledge; drop off your printed pledge form anytime that week; or email the amount to Shaye by that Sunday.

At a town hall on April 28 at 9:15 am, you can review the draft budget.

Please submit your pledge on March 3. Don’t wait until the last minute!
