The Grateful Thread is a social gathering for knitting, crocheting, quilting, hand sewing, embroidery, weaving, and any other types of thready handiwork you might be working on.
Whether you’re a dedicated crafter, are learning a new skill, or resuming a talent you honed years ago, we’d love to have you join us via Zoom every Monday from 2-4 p.m. throughout this period of “sheltering in place.”
Everyone is always encouraged to work on their own projects; plus there is ample opportunity for anyone to join in on our various on-going charity projects. UUFA & Grateful Thread provide lap afghans and blankets, shawls, scarves, and a variety of other handmade items for the UUFA congregation that are distributed as needed by the Pastoral Care Team as well as for residents of Avery Place in Winterville (in their memory care wing as well as their regular nursing home wing).
For information on how to participate virtually in this group, please contact Valerie Hayes (email@example.com) or Deb Brenner (firstname.lastname@example.org).
