At its April 13 Zoom, the Board looked at the progress of the 2021-2022 pledge drive with updates from Treasurer Thrane Jensen and then followed up on contacts with members who had pledged last year. For the latest news, members can join in the Town Hall on the proposed budget following the service on April 18 or view it later through a link on the Stay Connected page of the UUFA website.
We heard from the Regathering Team who reported that our pandemic Medical Advisory Panel had given its approval for moving to Phase 2 of the five-phase regathering plan no sooner than May 1, assuming the statistics that determine reaching Phase 2 do not reverse course and rise. We approved the MAP recommendation. Phase 2 increases outdoor gatherings from 15 to 25 and, for the first time since March 2020, welcomes meetings of up to 10 in the Fellowship Hall, the sanctuary, or the Eskildsen Room. Having attendees in the sanctuary for the Sunday services will wait for Phase 3. All gatherings will be masked and distanced and will require scheduling through Shaye Gambrell.
Barbara Schell joined us for an update on the Memorial Tree to be placed on the back wall of the sanctuary. It will honor deceased members and the Fellowship’s founders. We approved the final budget.
With gratitude to the nominees and the current Nominating Committee, we accepted the slate of members to be voted on at the May 16 Annual Meeting. The at-large Board nominees are Iva King, Sarah Cook, and Bob Teskey with Karen Solheim to serve as Secretary and Lyndall Tunnell as Treasurer. Vivian Preston Sellers will serve as Board President, and the Vice President will be selected by the 2021-2022 Board. Nominating Committee nominees are Kelly Simonson and Jane Kobres. Deb Keys and Lisa Brown are slated to serve on the Committee on Shared Ministry.
Please plan to join us for the Bylaws Town Hall on April 25 and the Annual Meeting on May 16. These Zoom session links will be found on the Stay Connected page of the UUFA website, and will begin following the service.
