Unitarian Universalist: Global Changes

Even before a little virus rocked the world, big changes were underway in how Unitarian and Unitarian Universals connected with the global community.  The interim director of the Unitarian Universalist Partner Church Council (UUPCC), the Reverand Fred Muir, shared big news in the most recent newsletter.  “After five months of balancing conversations with decision-making, we recently issued our “New Vision” document that describes the promises of a new U/U international organization that will emerge as a result of the PCC and the ICUU (International Council of Unitarian and Universalists) merging/dissolving and being reimagined. But there is still a long way to go before we start to see something more than a broad outline of aspirations.”  Read the detailed “New Vision” document here.

Despite no travel currently occurring, the UUPCC and all its partners continue to be active in many ways, some internal, as above, and others are continued outreach, and these efforts are, in many ways, creative.  Read the UUPCC newsletter to see the ways that other congregations are staying in touch. We hope that you tried at least one of the traditional Hungarian dishes shared in previous posts this past month in celebration with our partner church’s celebration of their Thanksgiving.  Staying to our partners is so important – especially during this time of upheaval.  We all get by with a little help from our friends!
