June 20: Chalice Film Series Discussion

Unitarian Church to screen 'Pay It No Mind' | News, Sports, Jobs ...On Saturday, June 20, at 4 p.m., you are invited to engage in a discussion of the film Pay It No Mind:  The Life and Times of Marsha P. Johnson.

Marsha P. Johnson was a revolutionary trans activist, Stonewall instigator, Andy Warhol model, drag queen, prostitute, starving actress, and Saint, as well as a downtown NYC fixture from the 1960’s through her too-soon demise in 1992. Johnson persevered through a life embodied by her middle initial P, which stood for “Pay It No Mind.”

This film was selected because of UUFA’s Welcoming Congregation Renewal process and because of June being Pride month.

All participating in the discussion are asked to watch this 55-minute film prior to the June 20 discussion.
