September 22: A Hungarian Unitarian Thanksgiving Celebration

Hungarian Unitarian churches celebrate communion four times a year.  Following the worship service exploring the traditions of our sister church in Okland, Transylvania, on Sunday, September 22,  the UU Fellowship of Athens will continue to honor their tradition by serving traditional Hungarian dishes for our Fourth Sunday Lunch. Join us for Szekely Gulyas (goulash) and Csirke Paprikas (Chicken Paprikash), a variety of Hungarian recipes for vegetable sides and salads, and assorted cookies and pastries.

Of course, If you are able to help with cooking or cleaning for this event, please contact the chair of our Partner Church Team, Michelle Leebens-Mack  ( Please note the “Cause” offering this Sunday will go to benefit the Okland Church.
