April 14 Forum–On the Rise with Dr. Mark Farmer

You are invited to the next Forum on Sunday, April 14, from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. in the Eskildsen Room.

As the number of humans on Earth approaches 8 billion, scientists, economists, and humanists wonder how so many people can be sustainably supported on a planet with finite resources. In this talk, Dr. Farmer–Professor of Cellular Biology at the University of Georgia–will discuss the reasons behind the rapid rise in human population; the ecological, social, and economic impacts of that rise; and what steps can be taken to bring worldwide population to sustainable levels in a morally sound manner.
