Inaugural Art Show: Paintings by Robert Clements

Robert Clements’ beautiful paintings make a fitting inaugural art show in our new gallery space. Originally from the Pittsburgh, PA area, Bob taught at the University of Georgia for 25 years from 1969 until 1994. There, he won the University’s highest awards for his teaching and research. He has written four editions of Emphasis Art and 60 articles and directed several art grant projects. He received his BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and his graduate art degrees from Pennsylvania State University. Bob is a multidisciplinary artist whose paintings capture beauty in Southern landscapes. He is also a strong supporter of public art, beautifying Athens through commissioned sculptures such as those outside the Athens-Clarke County Library and at Argo Apartments. Thank you, Bob, for sharing your talents with us.
