At its January 8, 2019 meeting, the UUFA Board of Trustees accomplished the following.
The Board discussed reflections on the Ministry Council/Board retreat; goals accomplished in 2018/19 and still to be done; Congregational participation and communication about the future of UUFA; upcoming “Expanding Our Opportunities” small group discussions for all the Congregation in January.
Actions approved were a policy on large capital purchase decision procedures; extension of thanks and appreciation to everyone who participated in the Expanding Our Vision (EOV) building project; gifts of a weekend getaway to Iva King and to Herb West for their extraordinary service to the EOV project.
These reports were accepted and discussed as necessary: Minister’s Report (verbal); Expanding Our Vision Report; Treasurer’s Report; Building & Grounds Maintenance Tasks and Responsibilities throughout the year.
Future agenda items are: diversity training, and consideration of policies and education related to social media.

— UUFA Grand Opening Celebration of Community, Saturday, 1/19/2019, 3:30 p.m.
— MLK Ecumenical Service, Sunday, 1/20/2019, 5:00 p.m., Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Athens
— Quarterly Connections, Saturday, 2/2/2019, 9:00-12:00 noon
