DESCRIPTION:\nFamily Promise Week April 23-30 \n\nFamily Promise of Athens is a non-profit organization that provides immediate shelter and guidance to homeless families with children due to the impact of misfortunes they face. Once families are accepted into the program, Family Promise provides food, shelter, daycare, and transportation.\n\nUUFA serves as a support congregation during weeks when the guest families stay overnight at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church located at 1690 S. Milledge Avenue; the next support week is April 23-30.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDuring this week, UUFA along with Holy Cross Lutheran Church will be hosting three families. We hope you will consider serving as a host, preparing a meal, or contributing money to purchase Kroger or Lyft gift cards for the families.\n10 CURRENT GUESTS: (Meal preparers, please prepare meals which will serve 11 people, including the host)\nFamily 1–Brittany (mom), Zayla (2)\nFamily 2–Teresa Hall (mom), Josh Hall (dad), Colin Victor (8), Khalessi Hall (5)\nFamily 3–Shante Jackson (mom, likes to be called Amber), Adonis Jimenez (6), Shalaya Harris (4), Freddie Jr. (2)\nGIFT CARDS:\nIf you would like to help purchase gift cards, please mail your contribution to Diana Pearson, 150 Homestead Drive, Athens 30605.\nFOOD PREFERENCES:\nLasagna, chili, hamburgers, chicken, roast, fish, spaghetti, wings, sub sandwiches, tacos, pizza\nBaked potatoes, rice, corn, fries, green beans, black eyed peas, green salads, broccoli, fruit\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAnyone who has been trained can volunteer!
