Lectio Divina? What ARE those?\nIf you’d like to be “in the know” about these two things, come to one of the seven sessions planned during December and January. (But here’s a sneak peek!)\nThe Unitarian Universalist Association has been working for several years on revisions to the Article II section of our bylaws, containing the statements concerning our values and inspirations, a process that was supposed to have been done years ago. This is the year the “final draft” will be voted on at the General Assembly in June. The UUA is giving its member congregations yet another chance to learn about these proposed revisions, and to make suggestions. Rev. Pippin has thought of a way to make that learning more meaningful for participants at UUFA.\nHence, Lectio Divina. This is a way, developed long ago by monks, to seek out what the words in a text mean to the individual reader. This is the way these sessions will attempt to make the words of the proposed revision come alive for those present.\nSessions will last no longer than an hour and a half, most likely an hour, and will be held at various times of the day and night. Some will be in person, some by Zoom.\nThe first session is this coming Sunday, the 10th, in person at noon in the Ocean Room. So grab your snacks and come on down to learn about the revisions to the sources and principles.\nPlease join the delegates from last year’s General Assembly in finding out what our thoughts and feelings are about these proposed revisions to what we have known as the principles and sources, part of the UUA bylaws.\nThe final proposed revision to Article II of the UUA Bylaws ( https://www.uua.org/files/2023-10/a2_final_line_num_10312023.pdf ) was completed by the Article II Study Commission in October 2023.\nThe ​UUA Board believes we need an Article II that leads us into the future​ since the current Article II ( https://www.uua.org/uuagovernance/committees/article-ii-study-commission/about-article-2 ), which contains the UUA Principles and Sources, was adopted in
